10 Aug Around the Block: The Beauty of West Vine Street

Meet Luis

Luis is an aspiring photographer originally from Reading, PA. A few weeks ago we reached out to him to see if he’d be interested in being the first to submit photos of the neighborhood he loves in Lancaster.

This is Luis’s persepctive

“I chose to take photos in the West Vine Street area of Lancaster City. I enjoy that part of town because of its silence, solitude, and distance from the Downtown area. Most people who come to Lancaster City never get to see anything other than the local cafes and breweries. Lancaster City is home to a large Hispanic community and is highly diverse in culture.”

We invite Transplant and Locals to share what they love about their neighborhood through pictures or storytelling. Contact us to share yours.

I recognize all the locations in these beautiful photographs… “Cabbage Hill” as I fondly call it… my old neighborhood of the 1950s and the most wonderful place to be a child back then. I am the opposite of a transplant,.. have lived in Lancaster for all 65 years of my life. Thanks for capturing these memories for me.
